Herminio Richie was slow to take the kick. During this time Yala's players had a chance to rest. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Filiberto Formerio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yala's supporters rose to their feet, but Filiberto Formerio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norberto Breogan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Chamaicó getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Bernabe Urtsin hit a great ball. Norberto Breogan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dante Mancio in the 21st minute of the match. Domingos Leguizamón kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Esteban Ciano hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 26 played minutes Yala got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Joey. Valentin Eguntsenti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Serapio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norberto Breogan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dante Mancio in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dante Mancio in the 39th minute of play forced Chamaicó's goalkeeper Norberto Breogan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herminio Richie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Norberto Breogan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roberto Pirro hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Chamaicó's zone, Herminio Richie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Breogan came out of the goal and Herminio Richie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dante Mancio to make the kick off. Yala's Filiberto Formerio got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 69 minutes, Filiberto Formerio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yala and the Chamaicó players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Yala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiberto Formerio to maneuver through the defense. Norberto Breogan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Richie, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Formerio in the 80th minute of play forced Chamaicó's goalkeeper Norberto Breogan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Mancio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
