Cornelio Iruinea came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Yala's Cristobal Aurken. But to his dismay, Cristobal Aurken quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 10th minute, Soda f c's Simon Kepa seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Simon Kepa the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Soda f c protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Simon Kepa had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Yala booed when Soda f c was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Kepa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Luisito Birjaio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Cornelio Iruinea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 15 minutes into the match, Cristobal Aurken had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cornelio Iruinea. Soda f c's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristobal Aurken was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Luisito Birjaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cornelio Iruinea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristobal Aurken went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. 31 minutes into the match, Soda f c's goal looked a bit too open when Cristobal Aurken came free, but Cornelio Iruinea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yala's Valentin Eguntsenti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Yala from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Aguirre in the 44th minute of play forced Yala's goalkeeper Valentin Eguntsenti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Matias Aguirre made the kick off in the second half. Yala's Luisito Birjaio got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filiberto Formerio charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filiberto Formerio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th match minute, Soda f c was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ambrosio Izel to maneuver through the defense. After 92 played minutes Soda f c got a freekick which was hit by Ambrosio Izel. Cornelio Iruinea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herminio Richie in the 92nd minute. The Soda f c fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Yala were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
