The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Norberto Breogan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Wilfredo Ibon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 26 minutes into the game, Albino Salvidor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chamaicó the free kick. 28 minutes into the game, ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's Wilfredo Ibon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Norberto Breogan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Ibon in the 31st minute of play forced Chamaicó's goalkeeper Norberto Breogan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chamaicó's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Wilfredo Ibon 32 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilfredo Ibon got free with Norberto Breogan in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the match, Delmar Min notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Chamaicó's Norberto Breogan. Norberto Breogan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 55 minutes of play, ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's Wilfredo Ibon made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horacio Confesor couldn't finish the play. Norberto Breogan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Henric, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ booed when Chamaicó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernabe Urtsin didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dionisio Txilar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Ibon in the 81st minute of play forced Chamaicó's goalkeeper Norberto Breogan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee gave Delmar Min a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Chamaicó's Norberto Breogan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Ibon in the 88th minute of play. If Horacio Confesor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
