An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Horado in the 31st minute of play forced Don Malbec's goalkeeper Basilio Sauveur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Raymon in the 32nd minute of play forced Kaplan's goalkeeper Eugenio Paz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute of the match Don Malbec got a corner. Kaplan's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gustavo Mazuste ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ernesto Raymon was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After a rather tough play, Kaplan's Nemesio Mateus got a free kick in the 39th minute. If Gustavo Mazuste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Ernesto Raymon put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Eugenio Paz. The Kaplan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Don Malbec were winning 0-1.

Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Eugenio Paz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Don Malbec's Ermegildo Oskarbi got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute Benigno Quintyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Paz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benigno Quintyn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Eugenio Paz made a huge save. With his leg Eugenio Paz managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Don Malbec's Benigno Quintyn fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Aristides Avellaneda hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. The supporters of Kaplan booed when Don Malbec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Hibai didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Kaplan's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Ibon came free, but Eugenio Paz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto Lizar's late challenge caught a Kaplan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugenio Paz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Raymon, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 89 played minutes Kaplan got a freekick which was hit by Diego Abajas. When Adolfo Horado fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kaplan's protests and gave Adolfo Horado a yellow card for diving instead. Don Malbec made a substitution. Arnoldo Ticho replaced Gustavo Mazuste. After 93 played minutes Kaplan got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Horado. The Kaplan supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Don Malbec's performance. The match ended with a win for Don Malbec.
