Basilio Sauveur was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teofilo Hibai during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimo Pudes in the 10th minute of play forced Don Malbec's goalkeeper Basilio Sauveur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 played minutes Don Malbec got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Lizar. When Lázaro Eneas fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Diamante U18's protests and gave Lázaro Eneas a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benigno Quintyn got free with Eriberto Sindo in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Deportivo Diamante U18 getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jeronimo Pudes hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute, Abelardo Berriotxoa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basilio Sauveur was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 26 minutes of play, Deportivo Diamante U18's Vladimiro Juvenal made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basilio Sauveur was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 38th minute Ernesto Raymon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Sindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Berriotxoa kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Benigno Quintyn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Eriberto Sindo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Basilio Sauveur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeronimo Pudes, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 43rd minute, one of Don Malbec:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Don Malbec. Don Malbec:s Basilio Sauveur showed great skill when he stopped Ulises Frutos:s penalty.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeronimo Pudes to make the kick off. Basilio Sauveur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Berriotxoa in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Silvio Pirro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Basilio Sauveur. The goal made the score 2-4. A collision led to Don Malbec getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Ernesto Raymon hit a great ball. Deportivo Diamante U18's Ulises Frutos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 58th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Don Malbec. Don Malbec's Basilio Sauveur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Berriotxoa in the 62nd minute of play. Don Malbec's Basilio Sauveur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Don Malbec from getting a goal against them. Eriberto Sindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Eguerdi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute Isidro Ignazio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Sauveur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernesto Raymon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Don Malbec's goal looked a bit too open when Lázaro Eneas came free, but Basilio Sauveur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Diamante U18 played a much better game than Don Malbec and deserved their victory. The Don Malbec players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
