NUMBA's Juan Perrando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Gartxot in the 8th minute of play. Juan Perrando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugenio Gartxot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 17 minutes, Eustaquio Cordera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Papillon AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eustaquio Cordera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Papillon AC fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Papillon AC's Eugenio Gartxot looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eugenio Gartxot scored 0-3 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Perrando, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 26 minutes into the match, Leonardo Suero notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Papillon AC's Geronimo Hegoi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Gartxot in the 37th minute of play forced NUMBA's goalkeeper Juan Perrando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benigno Johans's late challenge caught a NUMBA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benigno Johans helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eugenio Gartxot to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Cosme Ayala had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geronimo Hegoi.
