But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelino Ederono couldn't finish the play. The supporters of C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA booed when Los Golosos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Dacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Nicanor Errolan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th match minute, Los Golosos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Nikola to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute Bernabe Tallia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ata Jamal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Los Golosos's Clodoveo Olentzaro got a free kick in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Seme in the 18th minute of play forced Los Golosos's goalkeeper Gervasio Montxo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Marcelino Ederono shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Montxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herminio Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After some careless play in the C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA defense, Alfredo Ordono kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ata Jamal. The C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ata Jamal should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomás Sauveur to strike the kick off in the second half. Gervasio Montxo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomás Sauveur showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 56 minute of play. Bernabe Tallia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes in the game, Herminio Rubio fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gervasio Montxo having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Francisco Johans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ata Jamal was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's Ata Jamal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Ordono in the 70th minute of play. Nicanor Errolan hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Francisco Johans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ata Jamal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Los Golosos's Miguel Ereinotz got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Los Golosos's Wilfredo Dacio got a free kick in the 87th minute. A collision led to C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Teodosio Chale hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the game, Los Golosos's Alfredo Ordono nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ata Jamal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. If Alfredo Ordono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
