Prudencio Johans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Balendin in the 13th minute of play. Paulo Jon hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Amado Balendin sped through Temperley's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Prudencio Johans. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Oso in the 25th minute of play forced Temperley's goalkeeper Prudencio Johans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Desiderio Maidana hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Prudencio Johans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnino Nardo in the 32nd minute of play. Dalmacio Sergi lost his temper 42 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 42nd minute, one of Temperley:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Temperley. Ubaldo Matxin's late challenge caught a Atlético Nacional's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ubaldo Matxin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Ubaldo Matxin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iker Montrell to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute of the match, Amado Balendin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Prudencio Johans was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 65th match minute, Temperley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Montrell to maneuver through the defense. Temperley's Prudencio Johans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Balendin in the 67th minute of play. Amado Balendin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Prudencio Johans made a huge save. Prudencio Johans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Oso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 minutes, Fermin Santos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Nacional and the Temperley players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fermin Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Temperley's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Leandro Fiz scored to the left of an out of position Prudencio Johans, making the score, 2-3. A collision led to Temperley getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Desiderio Maidana hit a great ball.
