The supporters of Gelp 22 booed when Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Matxin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arsenio Bitxintxo charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arsenio Bitxintxo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th match minute, Gelp 22 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arsenio Bitxintxo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Montrell in the 8th minute of play forced Gelp 22's goalkeeper Cesar Criston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignacio Amato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudencio Johans having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, Gelp 22 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Acevedo to maneuver through the defense. Gelp 22's Cesar Criston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iker Montrell in the 19th minute of play. Cesar Criston didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ubaldo Matxin went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The Gelp 22 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Temperley were winning 0-2.
The wind increased when Ignacio Amato made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Temperley's Ubaldo Matxin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cesar Criston narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Arsenio Bitxintxo came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Gelp 22 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arsenio Bitxintxo couldn't finish the play. Temperley's Basilio Ticho suffered a sore thigh after 60 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Temperley made a substitution. Edgardo Senon replaced Basilio Ticho. Godofredo Jerrold hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Iker Montrell was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 64th minute. Temperley's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cesar Criston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Matxin in the 68th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Gelp 22's goalkeeper Cesar Criston had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgardo Senon. In the 83rd minute Ignacio Amato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prudencio Johans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Apolo Ramirez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 87 played minutes Temperley got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Ramirez. Cesar Criston made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Iker Montrell sent off a good shot on target. 90 minutes into the match, Amador Anaya notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Gelp 22's Cesar Criston. Cesar Criston was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Temperley supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Temperley would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
