Domingos Ranolfo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cornelio Eztebe to make the kick off. Newpi Academy's Aquilino Nuñez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Nuñez in the 54th minute of play. With a little luck, Newpi Academy's Aquilino Nuñez got control of the ball when Osvaldo Nuñez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cornelio Eztebe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
