Rigoberto Olayo was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Pastor Osoitz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pastor Osoitz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 21 minutes into the game, Cayetano Berto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rigoberto Olayo. Cayetano Berto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. If Narciso Arixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 31 minutes into the game, when Maximo Solustiano put in a rough tackle. In the 32nd minute, Maximo Solustiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rigoberto Olayo made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Sergio Domeka sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in ACF Fiorentina's zone, Narciso Arixo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnulfo Suero came out of the goal and Narciso Arixo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Rigoberto Olayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Osoitz in the 60th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Cayetano Berto came free, but Rigoberto Olayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ACF Fiorentina reached it. In the 79th minute, Pastor Osoitz made a precise shot to the right of Rigoberto Olayo. Talleres's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Horacio Eutor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 82 minutes into the match, Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Osoitz came free, but Rigoberto Olayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rigoberto Olayo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horacio Eutor went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ACF Fiorentina fans cheered their team off the field, for while Talleres had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
