Marlin FC's Jeremias Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Agüero in the 10th minute of play. Freddy Sarracino acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 13th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Prudencio Chuse. A collision led to La Scaloneta getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Adrian Nalo hit a great ball. Braulio Abarca hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Jeremias Cucao didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leo Messi went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 22nd match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulino Bela to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florentino Esiquio got free with Freddy Sarracino in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Florentino Esiquio could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Freddy Sarracino however easily saved by the left post. 28 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Agüero came free, but Jeremias Cucao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremias Guillem kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After 32 played minutes La Scaloneta got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Agüero. Freddy Sarracino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentino Esiquio in the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Agüero came free, but Jeremias Cucao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, La Scaloneta's Adrian Nalo got a free kick in the 39th minute. Jeremias Cucao came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by La Scaloneta's Leo Messi. But to his dismay, Leo Messi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Jeremias Cucao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Agüero in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half La Scaloneta were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anier Sazon to make the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Marlin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prudencio Chuse to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Leo Messi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 58 played minutes Marlin FC got a freekick which was hit by Cosme Erramun. In the 63rd minute of the match, Leo Messi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jeremias Cucao saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 64th play minute Sergio Agüero came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jeremias Cucao. 1-3. Prudencio Chuse kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. La Scaloneta made a substitution. Matias Llanos replaced Braulio Abarca. Leo Messi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Jeremias Cucao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, La Scaloneta's Fabio Omero got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Freddy Sarracino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Gonzales in the 75th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Anier Sazon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marlin FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anier Sazon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddy Sarracino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of La Scaloneta booed when Marlin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Erlantz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Marlin FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. La Scaloneta were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
