Denis Pio charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denis Pio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Deportivo Gamberro booed when Barreal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Pio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Igor Havier hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Barreal FC's Amador Frichoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Perpinya in the 18th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Barreal FC's Zacarias Ulizes threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arnulfo Txilar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 22nd minute Pedro Orlondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Ulizes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amador Frichoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Perpinya in the 23rd minute of the match. Niceto Perpinya kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Cosme Mattin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Zacarias Ulizes made a huge save. In the 26th play minute Cosme Mattin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Zacarias Ulizes. 1-0. Deportivo Gamberro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niceto Perpinya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Niceto Perpinya had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amador Frichoso. Barreal FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niceto Perpinya was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After having played for 47 minutes, Diego Eneko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Gamberro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Eneko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niceto Perpinya was the one to do the kick off. Ovidio Abaurre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Frichoso having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Deportivo Gamberro's Niceto Perpinya dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Angel Vachon charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angel Vachon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 56 played minutes Barreal FC got a freekick which was hit by Angel Vachon. Barreal FC's Ladislao Gabino couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Deportivo Gamberro. The supporters of Deportivo Gamberro booed when Barreal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Vachon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amador Frichoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Perpinya, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute Diego Eneko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amador Frichoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Ovidio Abaurre recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Amador Frichoso. Ovidio Abaurre showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Niceto Perpinya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barreal FC were furious when Siro Abajas was red carded, 75 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 75th minute, one of Barreal FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Barreal FC. When the match had been going on for 78 minutes, Deportivo Gamberro's Niceto Perpinya got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Amador Frichoso. In the 80th minute, Ulises Ihintza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barreal FC's Amador Frichoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Barreal FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Deportivo Gamberro booed when Barreal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Txilar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barreal FC's Amador Frichoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Barreal FC from getting a goal against them. Deportivo Gamberro's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
