The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cosme Mattin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Timoteo Evis made a huge save. In the 5th match minute, Marlin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Erlantz to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the match, Barreal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gregorio Loi came free, but Amador Frichoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Barreal FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Denis Pio hit a great ball. In the 15th minute of the match Prudencio Chuse shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amador Frichoso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 16 played minutes Barreal FC got a freekick which was hit by Denis Pio. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Prudencio Chuse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marlin FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Prudencio Chuse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amador Frichoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute, Barreal FC's Denis Pio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Denis Pio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Barreal FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Denis Pio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 20th minute, Prudencio Chuse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute, Bonifacio Bordat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ladislao Gabino made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Ladislao Gabino made a precise shot to the right of Timoteo Evis. Marlin FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 58th match minute, Barreal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siro Abajas to maneuver through the defense. Cosme Mattin's late challenge caught a Marlin FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cosme Mattin helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 played minutes Barreal FC got a freekick which was hit by Cosme Mattin. After recieving a nice pass, Marlin FC's Prudencio Chuse tried to score from far away in the 59th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Amador Frichoso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cosme Erramun lost his temper 65 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Marlin FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Barreal FC a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ladislao Gabino, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Marlin FC's Timoteo Evis. 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prudencio Chuse got free with Amador Frichoso in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th minute, Anier Sazon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Amador Frichoso. The goal made the score 2-3. Prudencio Chuse took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amador Frichoso. Amador Frichoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Prudencio Chuse charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Prudencio Chuse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Prudencio Chuse hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 98 minutes, Amador Frichoso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
