The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Frasco helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to La Scaloneta getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Ernesto Frasco hit a great ball. 0-1 became the score in the 4th minute when Prudencio Chuse elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. With a little luck, Marlin FC's Timoteo Evis got control of the ball when Justo Aguirre tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 8th match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prudencio Polo to maneuver through the defense. Freddy Sarracino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anier Sazon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prudencio Chuse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Freddy Sarracino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Braulio Abarca's late challenge caught a Marlin FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Braulio Abarca helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Marlin FC booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Abarca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sergio Agüero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Timoteo Evis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guillermo Iago kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. With 38 minutes on the clock, Humberto Kinsen commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After having played for 40 minutes, Sergio Agüero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Scaloneta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergio Agüero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Marlin FC's Anier Sazon got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Gonzalo Iztal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Timoteo Evis. Marlin FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Timoteo Evis came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by La Scaloneta's Sergio Agüero. But to his dismay, Sergio Agüero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guillermo Iago was the one to do the kick off. Ernesto Frasco kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. If Jeremias Guillem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Iago to maneuver through the defense. Bernardo Lalla was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 63 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of La Scaloneta:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Marlin FC:s goal. After a rather tough play, La Scaloneta's Paulino Bela got a free kick in the 69th minute. Timoteo Evis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Agüero in the 74th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Fabio Omero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timoteo Evis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Marlin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Erlantz to maneuver through the defense. Sergio Agüero struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Timoteo Evis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Scaloneta. In the 84th minute, Fabio Omero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 87 played minutes La Scaloneta got a freekick which was hit by Justo Aguirre. Marlin FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though La Scaloneta had controlled the match.
