Pedro Monte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Pedro Monte made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Nicanor Pueblo sent off a good shot on target. Sergio Nazario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Messi, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute C.A. Boca Juniors were awarded a corner. Leonel Messi went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on C.A. Boca Juniors's corner Leonel Messi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sergio Nazario quite easily take care of the ball. Nicanor Pueblo scored 2-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Monte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Monte was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nicanor Pueblo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 21 minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute, Julián Álvarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, C.A. Boca Juniors's Pedro Monte got control of the ball when Silvano Martxel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonel Messi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sergio Nazario having to make a save. Waitakere F.C.'s Sergio Nazario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Ermano in the 33rd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Ramon Ermano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sergio Nazario was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After 42 played minutes Waitakere F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Chorche. Sergio Nazario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicanor Lucila, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Leonel Messi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Pueblo in the 52nd minute of play forced C.A. Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Pedro Monte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicanor Pueblo in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Monte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Waitakere F.C. made a substitution. Mateo Marin replaced Braulio Chorche. In the 67th minute, Damian Mogel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Tiadoro hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Andy Ćuti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 73 minutes, Leonel Messi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonel Messi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Nemesio Victoro fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A. Boca Juniors's protests and gave Nemesio Victoro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to C.A. Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Nemesio Victoro hit a great ball. Pedro Monte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Unai in the 80th minute of the match. C.A. Boca Juniors's Pedro Monte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Pueblo in the 81st minute of play. C.A. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
