Los Diablos Rojos's Siro Jatsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Pueblo in the 3rd minute of play. After 5 minutes, Nicanor Pueblo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Los Diablos Rojos's Siro Jatsu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 10th match minute, Los Diablos Rojos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvio Cesario to maneuver through the defense. Nicanor Oalo charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicanor Oalo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th minute, Nicanor Pueblo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Waitakere F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Nicanor Pueblo might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Siro Jatsu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After a rather tough play, Waitakere F.C.'s Silvano Martxel got a free kick in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Nicanor Pueblo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Siro Jatsu. Los Diablos Rojos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicanor Pueblo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Siro Jatsu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicanor Pueblo's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Bonifacio Camerino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Sergio Nazario made a huge save. In the 27th minute, Nicanor Pueblo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Siro Jatsu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 32nd minute, Nicanor Pueblo made a precise shot to the right of Siro Jatsu. Los Diablos Rojos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. 40 minutes into the game, Waitakere F.C.'s Nicanor Pueblo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Siro Jatsu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. In the 46th minute Waitakere F.C. were awarded a corner. Silvano Martxel went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Nicanor Pueblo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Los Diablos Rojos's Siro Jatsu did a great save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvio Cesario was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Pueblo in the 51st minute of play forced Los Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Siro Jatsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Siro Jatsu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicanor Pueblo in the 55th minute. The Waitakere F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Waitakere F.C.'s Nicanor Pueblo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Waitakere F.C.'s Mateo Marin was substituted for Braulio Chorche. Waitakere F.C.'s Tomas Unai was substituted for Arnoldo Oliviero. The supporters of Los Diablos Rojos booed when Waitakere F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Martxel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Siro Jatsu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Unai in the 67th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Mateo Marin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Siro Jatsu. Los Diablos Rojos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mateo Marin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. In the 80th minute of the match, Tomas Unai tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Siro Jatsu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Los Diablos Rojos's Siro Jatsu got control of the ball when Nicanor Pueblo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Melquiades Valentine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Siro Jatsu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvano Martxel in the 85th minute. Siro Jatsu made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Tomas Unai sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Los Diablos Rojos's Melquiades Valentine got a free kick in the 87th minute. Silvano Martxel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Siro Jatsu. Los Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 89 minutes, Tomas Unai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Waitakere F.C. and the Los Diablos Rojos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tomas Unai kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Waitakere F.C. played a much better game than Los Diablos Rojos and deserved their victory. The Los Diablos Rojos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
