Damian Mogel hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 36th match minute, C.A. Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Eriz to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, C.A. Nereo Pello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Messi, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

During the 70th minute of the match Vladimiro Aguirre completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Vladimiro Aguirre a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 71 played minutes Sirius Dog got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Aguirre. After having played for 75 minutes, Zacarias Jakobe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sirius Dog's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zacarias Jakobe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Monte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Jakobe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Zacarias Jakobe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Monte. C.A. Boca Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zacarias Jakobe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Cornelio Cordaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnoldo Esiquio hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Zacarias Jakobe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute.
