The referee ignored NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's protests and gave Amancio Magdaleno a yellow card for diving instead. Club Pumas Serranos FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Aurelio Hitz scored to the left of an out of position Bernabe Gustau, making the score, 1-0. In the 19th minute, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Aurelio Hitz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Bernabe Gustau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danilo Frascuelo in the 22nd minute. When Club Pumas Serranos FC's Ulises Felipo in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulises Felipo to make the kick off. Bernabe Gustau came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Erasmo Fernendo. But to his dismay, Erasmo Fernendo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. The supporters of Club Pumas Serranos FC booed when NEWELL´S OLD BOYS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Frascuelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernabe Gustau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Magdaleno, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. A collision led to NEWELL´S OLD BOYS getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Danilo Frascuelo hit a great ball. Danilo Frascuelo's late challenge caught a Club Pumas Serranos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danilo Frascuelo helped the player get up and apologised. Danilo Frascuelo hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Club Pumas Serranos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. After having played for 95 minutes, Ulises Felipo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Pumas Serranos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulises Felipo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th match minute, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Uhin to maneuver through the defense.
