Ivan Olivar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Danilo Frascuelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ivan Olivar came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the C.A.C. 10 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Olivar couldn't finish the play. Danilo Frascuelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Bernaldo in the 11th minute of play. Amancio Magdaleno scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeronimo Oalo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17thth minute of the game Amancio Magdaleno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A.C. 10's Jeronimo Oalo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 19 minutes of play, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Amancio Magdaleno made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jeronimo Oalo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Narciso Fresco got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Tobias Rio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Danilo Frascuelo made a huge save. 27 minutes into the match, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Bernaldo came free, but Danilo Frascuelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Haroldo Bernaldo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Danilo Frascuelo, 1-2. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Danilo Frascuelo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save NEWELL´S OLD BOYS from getting a goal against them. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Danilo Frascuelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Gorri in the 36th minute of play. Jeronimo Oalo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelio Hitz's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Ivan Olivar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Danilo Frascuelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the C.A.C. 10 defense, Amancio Magdaleno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeronimo Oalo. The C.A.C. 10 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeronimo Oalo should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amancio Magdaleno to make the kick off. With a little luck, C.A.C. 10's Jeronimo Oalo got control of the ball when Aurelio Hitz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of C.A.C. 10 booed when NEWELL´S OLD BOYS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Magdaleno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Frascuelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Gorri in the 58th minute of play. The supporters of NEWELL´S OLD BOYS booed when C.A.C. 10 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Raphael didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Rene Bernabel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeronimo Oalo skillfully saved the ball. Arturo Balendin kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After 66 minutes of play, C.A.C. 10's Haroldo Bernaldo made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danilo Frascuelo was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Amancio Magdaleno took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Jeronimo Oalo to make any attempt to save it. In the 74th minute Amancio Magdaleno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeronimo Oalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to NEWELL´S OLD BOYS getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Eustacio Hitz hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the match, C.A.C. 10's goalkeeper Jeronimo Oalo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurelio Hitz. Danilo Frascuelo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A.C. 10. Jeronimo Oalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Magdaleno, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. If Ivan Olivar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Bernaldo in the 89th minute of play forced NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goalkeeper Danilo Frascuelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Aurelio Hitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NEWELL´S OLD BOYS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Narciso Fresco got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Narciso Fresco off the ground. In the 97th minute of the match Maximino Dayam sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danilo Frascuelo skillfully saved the ball.
