Apolo Mannie charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Apolo Mannie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Apolo Mannie kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Domingos Leizarraga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurelio Hitz in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the match, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Loi came free, but Danilo Frascuelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erasmo Fernendo struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Domingos Leizarraga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NEWELL´S OLD BOYS. After a defensive mix-up in CSD Pte Derqui's zone, Aurelio Hitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingos Leizarraga came out of the goal and Aurelio Hitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Erasmo Fernendo managed to get in a good position for a shot. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's supporters rose to their feet, but Erasmo Fernendo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domingos Leizarraga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. CSD Pte Derqui's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Amancio Magdaleno scored to the left of an out of position Domingos Leizarraga, making the score, 1-0. Aurelio Hitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Domingos Leizarraga made a huge save. Aurelio Hitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Domingos Leizarraga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erasmo Fernendo during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute, Erasmo Fernendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Aurelio Hitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NEWELL´S OLD BOYS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 36 minutes into the match, CSD Pte Derqui's goalkeeper Domingos Leizarraga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurelio Hitz. 38 minutes into the match, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Salvator came free, but Danilo Frascuelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Eusebio Loi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danilo Frascuelo was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game.
