Potrero booed when Guanacos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Baumar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serafino Geofredo struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Tiburcio Ado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Potrero. Javier Steven stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Feliberto Shantala's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Tiburcio Ado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Argenis, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The audience was convinced that Feliberto Shantala's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Javier Steven was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. 25 minutes into the match, Guanacos's goal looked a bit too open when Adan Hustaz came free, but Tiburcio Ado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Zeledon Ereinotz fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guanacos's protests and gave Zeledon Ereinotz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Zeledon Ereinotz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Javier Steven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Lehior in the 33rd minute of the match. When Isidoro Birjaio fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Potrero's protests and gave Isidoro Birjaio a yellow card for diving instead. Tiburcio Ado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niceto Lehior in the 40th minute. After some careless play in the Guanacos defense, Serafino Geofredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiburcio Ado. The Guanacos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiburcio Ado should have stopped the shot. Javier Steven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robustiano Botello in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The crowd rose to their feet as Feliberto Shantala kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Javier Steven. That made the score 1-1 in the 52 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafino Geofredo in the 56th minute of play forced Guanacos's goalkeeper Tiburcio Ado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C. A. Potrero's Javier Steven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliberto Shantala in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, C. A. Potrero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejo Nerio to maneuver through the defense. Ciriaco Artizar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to C. A. Potrero getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Omar Fagondo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Artizar in the 76th minute of play forced C. A. Potrero's goalkeeper Javier Steven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to C. A. Potrero getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Niceto Lehior hit a great ball. After 79 minutes, Serafino Geofredo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. A. Potrero and the Guanacos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Serafino Geofredo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Tiburcio Ado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejo Nerio in the 82nd minute of the match. Robustiano Botello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Javier Steven made a huge save. Guanacos's Feliberto Shantala got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute of the game, Ramiro Ler landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Niceto Lehior was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Guanacos's Felix Hurko was substituted for Ramiro Ler. After 93 played minutes C. A. Potrero got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Lehior.
