Gerardo Benvido stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Feliberto Shantala's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. The Tio Cosme FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerardo Benvido should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Tio Cosme FC's Honorato Santio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tiburcio Ado. That made the score 2-1 after 42 minutes of play.
