The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuel Egun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pedro Cresconio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Feliberto Jerardo was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Roque Senio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roque Senio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After some careless play in the Los Delfines defense, Marco Pudes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Egun. The Los Delfines fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Egun should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Marco Pudes made the kick off in the second half. Los Delfines's Roque Senio got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. El retorno del Pincha's Feliberto Jerardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Domeka in the 58th minute of play. After 62 minutes, Ubaldo Olivar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Delfines and the El retorno del Pincha players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ubaldo Olivar kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Roque Senio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Feliberto Jerardo. Samuel Egun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Pudes in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Roque Senio made a precise shot to the right of Feliberto Jerardo. Feliberto Jerardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Senio, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute.
