The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leon Milian's late challenge caught a Furia Calamar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leon Milian helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Furia Calamar booed when Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Milian didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Furia Calamar's Cristobal Erroman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maarten Stekelenburg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 16 minutes, Benjamin Tolino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Tolino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the game, one of Furia Calamar:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The Furia Calamar fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Furia Calamar's Cristobal Erroman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ defense, Cristobal Erroman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maarten Stekelenburg. The Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maarten Stekelenburg should have stopped the shot. Romulo Iratxo's late challenge caught a Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romulo Iratxo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Furia Calamar getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Mateo Pellegrino hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Mauricio Sanson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Furia Calamar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. The Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Furia Calamar were winning 1-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albano Bonadona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Filiberto Berart came free, but Maarten Stekelenburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Filiberto Berart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maarten Stekelenburg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Erroman, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 62 minutes, Filiberto Berart mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Furia Calamar and the Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 63 played minutes Furia Calamar got a freekick which was hit by Filiberto Berart. Furia Calamar's Feliberto Cordaro was substituted for Mateo Pellegrino. After 64 played minutes Furia Calamar got a freekick which was hit by Filiberto Berart. In the 70th minute, one of Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ. When the match had been going on for 72 minutes, Furia Calamar's Javier Hug got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Maarten Stekelenburg. Furia Calamar's Hermengildo Gar was substituted for Mauricio Sanson. 77 minutes into the match, Ψ MΞRTIAN FC Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Cristobal Erroman came free, but Maarten Stekelenburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maarten Stekelenburg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Erroman in the 85th minute of play. In the 93rdth minute of the game Albano Bonadona who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Furia Calamar's Damaso Panfilo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Furia Calamar's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
