If Benigno Galoer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alejo Gaspard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Policarpio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Edgard Herauso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Gaspard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 played minutes Luganeros AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Domenec. 27 minutes into the match, Rafael Clodio notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Luganeros AFC's Alejo Gaspard. Alejo Gaspard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ariel Sanchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Boniel having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Camilo Policarpio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Gaspard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Benigno Galoer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benigno Galoer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilberto Domenec to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, EL PEPO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benigno Galoer came free, but Ezequiel Boniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luganeros AFC's Alejo Gaspard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Luganeros AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind EL PEPO FC's goalkeeper Ezequiel Boniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. EL PEPO FC's Isaac Tiso was substituted for Denis Guerrero. 71 minutes into the game, Benigno Galoer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ezequiel Boniel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Camilo Policarpio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Gaspard having to interfere. With a little luck, Luganeros AFC's Alejo Gaspard got control of the ball when Rafael Clodio tried to sneak it across the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Ariel Sanchez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Luganeros AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EL PEPO FC the free kick. Alejo Gaspard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Clodio in the 95th minute. After 96 played minutes Luganeros AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Benino. Luganeros AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
