After a rather tough play, La Candela FC's Lucas Reyes got a free kick in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Edgard Guillen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Mero, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Simon Nikola took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edgard Guillen. La Candela FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Edgard Guillen acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 60th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alonzo Vincente. Edgard Guillen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pastor Oriche, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. La Candela FC's Edgard Guillen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Oriche in the 70th minute of play. The La Candela FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Formentera had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
