Edgard Guillen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernan Bartoli, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the last second Generoso Karmel throw himself and got hold of the ball when Angel Taurino in the 6thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 7th minute, one of La Candela FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for La Candela FC. The referee gave Angua FC a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eduardo Blasco, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of La Candela FC's Edgard Guillen. 0-1. After having played for 11 minutes, Fernan Bartoli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Angua FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernan Bartoli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mariano Cordaro hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Generoso Karmel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Reyes in the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Candela FC's goalkeeper Edgard Guillen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lucas Reyes might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Generoso Karmel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucas Reyes ran back to his position shaking his head. Angua FC's Generoso Karmel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Angua FC from getting a goal against them. La Candela FC's Angel Taurino got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 26 played minutes La Candela FC got a freekick which was hit by Constantino Cordarius. Vladimiro Bernaldo scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgard Guillen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Angua FC! Generoso Karmel had in the 36thth minute some difficulties stopping Angel Taurino's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 1-2 came in the 36th minute when Angel Taurino all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Generoso Karmel. Generoso Karmel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucas Reyes went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Lucas Reyes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Generoso Karmel came out and tried to block the shot, but Lucas Reyes slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

La Candela FC's Zeledon Quintyn was substituted for Freddy Karmel. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erasmo Hunfredo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Angel Taurino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Generoso Karmel was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Edgard Guillen came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Angua FC's Fernan Bartoli. But to his dismay, Fernan Bartoli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. Angua FC's Generoso Karmel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Taurino in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to Angua FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Arsenio Beat hit a great ball. Mariano Cordaro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Generoso Karmel. Angua FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 63 played minutes La Candela FC got a freekick which was hit by Martin Lauro. Ciro Dolfos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Guillen having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, La Candela FC's Angel Taurino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Generoso Karmel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. Generoso Karmel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Cordaro in the 72nd minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Martin Lauro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Candela FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Angua FC the free kick. Martin Lauro kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Erasmo Hunfredo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgard Guillen came out and tried to block the shot, but Erasmo Hunfredo slotted it home off the left post making it 6-4 in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in La Candela FC's zone, Mateo Ofelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard Guillen came out of the goal and Mateo Ofelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Erasmo Hunfredo came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Angua FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erasmo Hunfredo couldn't finish the play.
