Prudencio Otsoko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Reyes, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Angel Taurino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgard Guillen made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Christian Jerrald sent off a good shot on target. After 30 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Oriche. 39 minutes into the game, Urbano Medero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Formentera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Candela FC the free kick. Urbano Medero kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After the first half La Candela FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pastor Oriche stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Lucas Reyes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Candela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Reyes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Formentera's Prudencio Otsoko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Formentera from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Formentera defense, Angel Taurino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Prudencio Otsoko. The Formentera fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prudencio Otsoko should have stopped the shot. A collision led to La Candela FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Angel Taurino hit a great ball. Prudencio Otsoko was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Lucas Reyes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lucas Reyes really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. In the 82nd minute, Constantino Cordarius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute of the match Alonzo Vincente shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgard Guillen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Prudencio Otsoko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Taurino, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Angel Taurino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Prudencio Otsoko. Angel Taurino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. In the 93rd minute, Lucas Reyes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Candela FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Jacobo Oalo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 97 minutes into the match. In the 98th minute, Jacobo Oalo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched La Candela FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
