In the 14th minute, Sportivo Constitución's Alonzo Chumo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Haroldo Raymon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Shepherd in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Telo in the 21st minute of play forced Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Benicio Txeru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 played minutes Abuba Akotonon FC got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Shepherd. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Constitución's Herminio Abad got a free kick in the 25th minute. Alonzo Chumo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Benicio Txeru 28 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Siro Argenis could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Benicio Txeru however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Sportivo Constitución booed when Abuba Akotonon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Pinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benicio Txeru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Telo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 minutes, Aldo Laurin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Abuba Akotonon FC and the Sportivo Constitución players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th match minute, Abuba Akotonon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Laurin to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, Sportivo Constitución's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Cristofol came free, but Haroldo Raymon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Benicio Txeru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Siro Argenis. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

52 minutes into the match, Siro Argenis notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Abuba Akotonon FC's Benicio Txeru. Benicio Txeru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 55 minutes into the match, Patricio Raymond had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benicio Txeru. Abuba Akotonon FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patricio Raymond was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Haroldo Raymon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulgencio Shepherd in the 64th minute of the match. Fulgencio Shepherd received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Haroldo Raymon came out and tried to block the shot, but Fulgencio Shepherd slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 67th minute. Sportivo Constitución made a substitution. Eloy Igon replaced Romeo Telo. Sportivo Constitución's Osvaldo Ponc was substituted for Benigno Chano. Haroldo Raymon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guido Pinto in the 78th minute. A collision led to Sportivo Constitución getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Leon Barbosa hit a great ball. Haroldo Raymon was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Haroldo Suarez. Benicio Txeru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siro Argenis, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Haroldo Raymon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guido Pinto went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Abuba Akotonon FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Haroldo Suarez hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sportivo Constitución fans cheered their team off the field, for while Abuba Akotonon FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
