Jaime Giro kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. A collision led to Abuba Akotonon FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Jaime Giro hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Devoto club social's Cosme Enmanuel got a free kick in the 6th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fulgencio Shepherd in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Cordero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Guido Pinto came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Abuba Akotonon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Pinto couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute, Emanuel Oxel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guido Pinto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 23rd playminute. Devoto club social's Hugo Cordero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Galsino in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Devoto club social's Tomás Bertran got a free kick in the 36th minute. Hugo Cordero made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Marco Galsino sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fulgencio Shepherd stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hugo Cordero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulgencio Shepherd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, Fabio Domeka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Cordero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Galsino in the 62nd minute of play. Fulgencio Shepherd took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Cordero. Hugo Cordero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After 68 played minutes Devoto club social got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Bertran. 72 minutes into the match, Fermin Tauro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benicio Txeru, 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Gasteiz got free with Benicio Txeru in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 89 played minutes Haroldo Suarez shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Devoto club social's Hugo Cordero to catch but Haroldo Suarez was lucky. It became 5-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Hugo Cordero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Shepherd, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Marco Galsino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Abuba Akotonon FC fully deserved thier win.
