The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuel Gorbea during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ruben Afonso scored 1-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luisito Luzaide, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luisito Luzaide made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benedicto Hulberto in the 11th minute. When Pascual Vigil fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Riverzone's protests and gave Pascual Vigil a yellow card for diving instead. Pascual Vigil kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damaso Hechter in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robustiano Vidal saved Riverzone from getting behind. Luisito Luzaide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascual Vigil in the 15th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Epifanio Barto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luisito Luzaide, 2-0. The supporters of Huckebein booed when Riverzone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Sayveon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Riverzone's Robustiano Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Hug in the 20th minute of play. After 38 played minutes Huckebein got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Gorbea. Huckebein's Luisito Luzaide proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Huckebein from getting a goal against them. Ruben Afonso came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luisito Luzaide could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruben Afonso got free with Luisito Luzaide in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damaso Hechter was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Pascual Vigil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luisito Luzaide was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 59 minutes into the match, Huckebein's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Afonso came free, but Luisito Luzaide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luisito Luzaide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Epifanio Barto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Huckebein defense, Ruben Afonso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luisito Luzaide. The Huckebein fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luisito Luzaide should have stopped the shot. Denis Baumar charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denis Baumar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Riverzone's Denis Baumar got a free kick in the 90th minute. After 94 played minutes Riverzone got a freekick which was hit by Mario Socorro. Damaso Hechter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Riverzone had played much better football throughout.
