After 8 played minutes DESTROY got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Harriet. Pedro Frascuelo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Hernan Tello made a huge save. In the 18th minute Pedro Frascuelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Tello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 20 minutes, Elias Figueroa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ascacibar-Pérez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Figueroa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 32 minutes into the game, DESTROY's Eloy Feo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ladislao Endira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 39 minutes into the match, Ascacibar-Pérez's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Feo came free, but Ladislao Endira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, DESTROY's Marciano Salvino got a free kick in the 41st minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Frascuelo to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Figueroa in the 53rd minute of play forced DESTROY's goalkeeper Hernan Tello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romulo Harriet during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Niceto Crescencio kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Marciano Salvino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ladislao Endira. Ascacibar-Pérez's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marciano Salvino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ladislao Endira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romulo Harriet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elias Figueroa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Hernan Tello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ladislao Endira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Harriet in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to DESTROY getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Romulo Harriet hit a great ball. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ascacibar-Pérez's goalkeeper Ladislao Endira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Ascacibar-Pérez's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Jakobe came free, but Ladislao Endira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Ascacibar-Pérez defense, Eloy Jakobe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ladislao Endira. The Ascacibar-Pérez fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ladislao Endira should have stopped the shot. Hernan Tello came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Ascacibar-Pérez's Pedro Frascuelo. But to his dismay, Pedro Frascuelo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched DESTROY eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
