Enrique Baldovino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Raitin, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute, Godfredo Aresti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enrique Baldovino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Bibiano in the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Azulgranas AFC's goalkeeper Enrique Baldovino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo Elodio. After 11 played minutes Azulgranas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Argider. After a defensive mix-up in Azulgranas AFC's zone, Reynaldo Elodio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Baldovino came out of the goal and Reynaldo Elodio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Reynaldo Elodio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcelo Bibiano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Enrique Baldovino. That made the score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. The supporters of CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE booed when Azulgranas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Urdin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Urdin came free, but Hector Jakes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute Braulio Vedillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Jakes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Azulgranas AFC's Enrique Baldovino got control of the ball when Reynaldo Elodio tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Azulgranas AFC! In the 48th minute there was a penalty for CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE. Reynaldo Elodio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Enrique Baldovino. 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Braulio Vedillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Bibiano in the 57th minute of play forced Azulgranas AFC's goalkeeper Enrique Baldovino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Bibiano took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enrique Baldovino. Enrique Baldovino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 62 minutes into the match, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's goalkeeper Hector Jakes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lorenzo Urdin. In the 64th minute Reynaldo Elodio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Baldovino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Raitin scored 4-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrique Baldovino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Enrique Baldovino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Elodio in the 75th minute of play. Enrique Baldovino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Raitin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Reynaldo Elodio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Marcelo Bibiano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. 85 minutes into the game, Paulo Raitin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Enrique Baldovino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Nestor Argider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the game, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Marcelo Bibiano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enrique Baldovino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0.
