Saturnino Romo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Grosso United's Natalio Peyo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Javier Belasko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Arianos DM booed when Grosso United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Nuxila didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Arianos DM getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Roberto Serafo hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Arianos DM's goal looked a bit too open when Godofredo Manny came free, but Javier Belasko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Justo Rafe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arianos DM's supporters rose to their feet, but Justo Rafe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saturnino Romo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Arianos DM's Javier Belasko got control of the ball when Godofredo Manny tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 82 played minutes Carolo Urbasa rounded Arianos DM's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. The supporters of Grosso United booed when Arianos DM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Diegotxe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Rigoberto Boniel sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Arianos DM's Javier Belasko didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Arianos DM's zone, Godofredo Manny stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Javier Belasko came out of the goal and Godofredo Manny tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grosso United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
