Romeo Osorio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Braulio Berasko. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Braulio Berasko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Izel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Zacarias Bento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the game, C. A. Atlanta's Teodoro Boniel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benicio Gaitan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Zacarias Bento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Braulio Berasko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Arturo Flores kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benicio Gaitan. That made the score 1-3 in the 69 minute of play. Jacobo Benitez made in the 74th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by C. A. Atlanta's Pascual Daunte. Benicio Gaitan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Flores, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Faustino Izel took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Braulio Berasko. Braulio Berasko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Zacarias Bento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Braulio Berasko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The C. A. Atlanta players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
