Club Atletico Los Andes's Teodosio Guillen got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Gilberto Munio notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of TALLERES's Ivan Mateus. Ivan Mateus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ivan Mateus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nereo Tohias's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Ivan Mateus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Tohias in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Nereo Tohias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Mateus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30th play minutes Nereo Tohias shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Ivan Mateus and just under the crossbar into goal. After 32 minutes of play, Club Atletico Los Andes's Teodosio Guillen made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Mateus was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nereo Tohias in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Mateus saved TALLERES from getting behind. Ivan Mateus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Tohias in the 38th minute of the match. When Nereo Tohias fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Los Andes's protests and gave Nereo Tohias a yellow card for diving instead. 40 minutes into the game, Raul Hegoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Enrique Garaona was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Teodosio Guillen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 46 played minutes TALLERES got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Peruxu. A hard and well directed shot from Gilberto Munio led 47 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. TALLERES's Ivan Mateus became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-7. Disappointed in the 1-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ildefonso Peruxu made the kick off in the second half. Nereo Tohias struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Ivan Mateus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Los Andes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nereo Tohias got free with Ivan Mateus in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ivan Mateus made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Nereo Tohias sent off a good shot on target. Nereo Tohias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Mateus having to interfere. With splendid footwork Nereo Tohias arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-8 by the left pole in the game's 60th minute. If Nereo Tohias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernan Quilino lost his temper 67 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 66 minutes into the game, one of Club Atletico Los Andes:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Club Atletico Los Andes:s Enrique Garaona showed great skill when he stopped Constantino Jakobe:s penalty. 68 minutes into the game, TALLERES's Constantino Jakobe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enrique Garaona made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-8. The supporters of Club Atletico Los Andes booed when TALLERES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Leheren didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Tohias in the 75th minute of play forced TALLERES's goalkeeper Ivan Mateus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Mateus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Munio, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. With a little luck, TALLERES's Ivan Mateus got control of the ball when Teodosio Guillen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Celedonio Rivero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Ivan Mateus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Atletico Los Andes's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
