In the 45th match minute, Sportivo Luan Toro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dionisio Diaz to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Feliu in the 47th minute of play forced Sportivo Luan Toro's goalkeeper Joaquin Mingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Ringo Bonavena sped through Madison's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jeremias Michael. Ringo Bonavena showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. The Sportivo Luan Toro supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sportivo Luan Toro would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
