Tomas Medero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bartolo Chepe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Octavio Txatxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Stronghold S.A defense, Fabian Demesio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bartolo Chepe. The Stronghold S.A fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bartolo Chepe should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Hodei in the 13th minute of play forced Stronghold S.A's goalkeeper Bartolo Chepe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Areco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Cordera came free, but Vladimiro Oier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elvio Elorri kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. When Areco FC's Rene Hodei in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Octavio Txatxu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bartolo Chepe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Demesio, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Vladimiro Oier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teobaldo Aurre, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Areco FC's Vladimiro Oier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Cordera in the 71st minute of play. 2-4 became the score in the 73rd minute when Rene Hodei elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Cordera in the 78th minute of play forced Areco FC's goalkeeper Vladimiro Oier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Medero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Bartolo Chepe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 85th minute, Areco FC's Rene Hodei ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bartolo Chepe. Bartolo Chepe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. Benigno Chinto's late challenge caught a Areco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benigno Chinto helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Stronghold S.A getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Benigno Chinto hit a great ball. Bartolo Chepe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Demesio, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Areco FC! The Stronghold S.A supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Areco FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Areco FC.
