In the 22nd minute, Fabio Jerico made a precise shot to the right of German Ourente. Rafaela FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. German Ourente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Lauren in the 27th minute of play. German Ourente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Eli in the 29th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celestino Hever during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rafaela FC's Celestino Hever got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute, Fabio Jerico left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Florida Gulf Coast fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. In the 37th minute, Flavio Lauren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Florida Gulf Coast's Fabio Jerico got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafaela FC's German Ourente proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Rafaela FC from getting a goal against them. 44 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Lauren came free, but German Ourente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes Rafaela FC got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Hever. Matias Eli hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

After 53 played minutes Florida Gulf Coast got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Neto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Eli in the 56th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper German Ourente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Matias Eli notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Rafaela FC's German Ourente. German Ourente was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Flavio Lauren fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Florida Gulf Coast's protests and gave Flavio Lauren a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st minute, Flavio Lauren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the match, Fabio Jerico notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Rafaela FC's German Ourente. German Ourente was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. German Ourente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Jerico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 played minutes Rafaela FC got a freekick which was hit by Guido Primeiro. Carlos Neto charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Neto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute Fabio Jerico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Ourente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Rafaela FC booed when Florida Gulf Coast was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Jerico didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 minutes of play, Florida Gulf Coast's Flavio Lauren made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. German Ourente was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rafaela FC's German Ourente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Lauren in the 89th minute of play. Carlos Neto took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised German Ourente. German Ourente dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-1. German Ourente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Lauren, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Jerico came free, but German Ourente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florida Gulf Coast's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
