The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute of the match, Angel Medero got a very nice opportunity to score, but Anastasio Gauargi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Godofredo Austin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Maximo Calixto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Austin in the 13th minute of play forced C.A.JORGOVAN's goalkeeper Maximo Calixto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th match minute, C.A.JORGOVAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Fortun to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the game, Lucio Fero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A.JORGOVAN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nippur de Lagash 2 the free kick. In the 16th minute, Lucio Fero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Godofredo Austin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nippur de Lagash 2 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Nippur de Lagash 2 getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ariel Medardo hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Ezequiel Gasteiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A.JORGOVAN's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezequiel Gasteiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anastasio Gauargi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, C.A.JORGOVAN's Ezequiel Gasteiz got a free kick in the 25th minute. Maximo Calixto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Indartsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anselmo Fortun succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 30th playminute. If Adrian Indartsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Angelino Reyes charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelino Reyes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maximo Calixto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Generoso Estevez, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anselmo Fortun was the one to do the kick off. Nippur de Lagash 2's Anastasio Gauargi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Fortun in the 51st minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Anselmo Fortun notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Nippur de Lagash 2's Anastasio Gauargi. Anastasio Gauargi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Angelino Reyes kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Maximo Calixto was a little too slow when Adrian Indartsu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 2-2. Godofredo Austin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Maximo Calixto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximo Calixto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Ralondo in the 78th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, C.A.JORGOVAN's Ezequiel Gasteiz got a free kick in the 78th minute. After having played for 84 minutes, Generoso Estevez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nippur de Lagash 2's supporters crossed their fingers, but Generoso Estevez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, C.A.JORGOVAN's Christian Martxot got a free kick in the 86th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Nippur de Lagash 2's Generoso Estevez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maximo Calixto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nippur de Lagash 2's Anastasio Gauargi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Martxot in the 94th minute of play. Godofredo Austin kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Nippur de Lagash 2 players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
