The Club Deportivo Álvarez fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evaristo Ibar should have stopped the shot. In the 18th minute, one of Rivermania FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rivermania FC. Arturo Sengrat had in the 20thth minute some difficulties stopping Epifanio Silviano's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The supporters of Rivermania FC booed when Club Deportivo Álvarez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Guib didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Fernando Guib kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arturo Sengrat. That made the score 3-1 in the 28 minute of play. When Club Deportivo Álvarez's Severiano Raymon in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rivermania FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 34th match minute, Club Deportivo Álvarez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Abalos to maneuver through the defense. Mario Arce charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mario Arce the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Club Deportivo Álvarez getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Mario Arce hit a great ball. Arturo Sengrat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Arce in the 46th minute of the match. Mario Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabriel Huly made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severiano Raymon in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arturo Sengrat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th match minute, Club Deportivo Álvarez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Arce to maneuver through the defense. Hilario Hartz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Ibar having to interfere. Arturo Sengrat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Guib, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Gabriel Huly ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arturo Sengrat was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. 5-1 became the score in the 71st minute when Gabriel Huly elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 75 played minutes Club Deportivo Álvarez got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Guib. Epifanio Silviano hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Angelo Nazario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evaristo Ibar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Arturo Sengrat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Huly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Guib in the 81st minute of play forced Rivermania FC's goalkeeper Arturo Sengrat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Gabriel Huly cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Arturo Sengrat was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 86th minute, Ubaldo Pasqual hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rivermania FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Deportivo Álvarez.
