With his leg Guaberto Haimar managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Las Palmas's Nicanor Fanuco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 18 minutes into the match, Las Palmas's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Federigo came free, but Nicolas Urko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolas Urko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Isaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute.
