But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Natal couldn't finish the play. Locura Académica's Natalio Intxixu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Estebano in the 8th minute of play. If Rogelio Tancredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Jonas Argider took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Gonzalo Marko to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Estebano in the 15th minute of play forced Locura Académica's goalkeeper Natalio Intxixu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Argider charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonas Argider the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Locura Académica getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Santiago Guillelmo hit a great ball. In the 21st match minute, Ice Valley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cirilo Heli to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Gerardo Rufo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gonzalo Marko, 2-0. In the 25th minute, Armando Oriche made a precise shot to the right of Natalio Intxixu. Locura Académica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Locura Académica's Natalio Intxixu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Oriche in the 28th minute of play. Jeremias Estebano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Natalio Intxixu having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Locura Académica's zone, Rogelio Tancredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natalio Intxixu came out of the goal and Rogelio Tancredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Locura Académica's Natalio Intxixu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Estebano in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Jeremias Estebano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Natalio Intxixu made a huge save. When Gerardo Rufo came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Locura Académica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Rufo couldn't finish the play. Rogelio Tancredo kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 64th match minute, Locura Académica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Guillelmo to maneuver through the defense. In the 68thth minute of the game Jeremias Estebano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Locura Académica's Natalio Intxixu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Gerardo Rufo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Locura Académica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ice Valley FC the free kick. In the 72nd minute, Jeremias Estebano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Natalio Intxixu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filomeno Mazuste in the 74th minute of the match. Natalio Intxixu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Tancredo in the 77th minute of play. During the 79th minute of the match Rogelio Tancredo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rogelio Tancredo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Rogelio Tancredo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After 85 played minutes Locura Académica got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Rufo. The attack was good, but when Jeremias Estebano in the 86th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Natalio Intxixu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeremias Estebano's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Locura Académica's zone, Jeremias Estebano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natalio Intxixu came out of the goal and Jeremias Estebano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Natalio Intxixu stood somewhat misplaced when Jeremias Estebano came free in front of goal and shot 2-3 to the left of him in the 96 minute. Ice Valley FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
