Ernesto Orain hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute Fulgencio Fernanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Lalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, CAI NEUQUEN's Rodrigo Lalla got control of the ball when Fulgencio Fernanco tried to sneak it across the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Honorato Eutropio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eriberto Enmanuel. Cebollitas F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Honorato Eutropio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 20th minute, Candido Oso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rene Fortun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the game, Cebollitas F.C.'s Fulgencio Fernanco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Lalla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 31 played minutes Cebollitas F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Fernanco. In the 31st minute of the match Gonzalo Hartz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eriberto Enmanuel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Fulgencio Fernanco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cebollitas F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CAI NEUQUEN the free kick. A collision led to Cebollitas F.C. getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Fulgencio Fernanco hit a great ball. Rodrigo Lalla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fulgencio Fernanco in the 36th minute. Rodrigo Lalla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulgencio Fernanco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 played minutes CAI NEUQUEN got a freekick which was hit by Rene Fortun. Rodrigo Lalla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Mero in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Cebollitas F.C.'s Fulgencio Fernanco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rodrigo Lalla. Rodrigo Lalla yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After some careless play in the Cebollitas F.C. defense, Rene Fortun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eriberto Enmanuel. The Cebollitas F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eriberto Enmanuel should have stopped the shot.

After having played for 53 minutes, Rolando Mero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cebollitas F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Mero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Romulo Lleir kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Fulgencio Fernanco, 55 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 57th minute Rolando Mero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Lalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, CAI NEUQUEN's Ambrosio Felipo got a free kick in the 57th minute. Rodrigo Lalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulgencio Fernanco in the 66th minute of the match. The supporters of CAI NEUQUEN booed when Cebollitas F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Haitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cebollitas F.C.'s Eriberto Enmanuel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorato Eutropio in the 73rd minute of play. Rodrigo Lalla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulgencio Fernanco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 played minutes CAI NEUQUEN got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Hartz. Rene Fortun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 88th minute, Fermin Aznar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eriberto Enmanuel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fermin Aznar in the 91st minute. Gonzalo Hartz's late challenge caught a Cebollitas F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonzalo Hartz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd match minute, CAI NEUQUEN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Hartz to maneuver through the defense. CAI NEUQUEN's Rodrigo Lalla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Mero in the 96th minute of play. Fermin Aznar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Eriberto Enmanuel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Chants of CAI NEUQUEN echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Cebollitas F.C. had held the ball for most of the match.
