Spectators: 148 (Terracing: 112, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 2) San Martin de Tucumán's Zeledon Quirze started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anacleto Haitz during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But to his dismay, Nicolas Sayvion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 22nd match minute, San Martin de Tucumán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Sayvion to maneuver through the defense. In the 25thth minute of the game Fermin Aznar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Martin de Tucumán's Feliciano Chorche was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Fermin Aznar managed to get in a good position for a shot. CAI NEUQUEN's supporters rose to their feet, but Fermin Aznar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Feliciano Chorche breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Feliciano Chorche was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gonzalo Hartz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermin Aznar in the 44th minute of play forced San Martin de Tucumán's goalkeeper Feliciano Chorche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fermin Aznar was the one to do the kick off. Vicente Urtungo lost his temper 50 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, CAI NEUQUEN's Vicente Urtungo got a free kick in the 51st minute. After 52 played minutes, San Martin de Tucumán's Angelo Berenguer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rodrigo Lalla came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in San Martin de Tucumán reached it. Feliciano Chorche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fermin Aznar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute Fermin Aznar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliciano Chorche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Fermin Aznar made a precise shot to the right of Feliciano Chorche. San Martin de Tucumán's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 66th minute, Fermin Aznar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CAI NEUQUEN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Mario Costante's late challenge caught a San Martin de Tucumán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mario Costante helped the player get up and apologised. When Fermin Aznar came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the CAI NEUQUEN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fermin Aznar couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Fermin Aznar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Feliciano Chorche was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. In the 79thth minute of the game Fermin Aznar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Martin de Tucumán's Feliciano Chorche was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rodrigo Lalla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Quirze, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 86th match minute, San Martin de Tucumán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nunez Oalo to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucumán's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Aznar came free, but Feliciano Chorche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. San Martin de Tucumán's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because CAI NEUQUEN had won, even though San Martin de Tucumán had held more of the ball.
