With a couple of smart ball manuevers Casimiro Gabon in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Arano saved Tigres Ñacuñán FC from getting behind. Joel Corderall's late challenge caught a Tigres Ñacuñán FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Corderall helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Joel Corderall got a free kick in the 20th minute. Tigres Ñacuñán FC's Mariano Orland got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Casimiro Gabon got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Quilino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Patricio Rey Futbol Club's goalkeeper Aaron Fe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Orland. Cesar Weterio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th minute, Mariano Orland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aaron Fe was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Orland to strike the kick off in the second half. When Bruno Arnalt fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tigres Ñacuñán FC's protests and gave Bruno Arnalt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th minute of the match Basilio Bihar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abel Arano skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Patricio Rey Futbol Club getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Casimiro Gabon hit a great ball. Tigres Ñacuñán FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Patricio Rey Futbol Club the free kick. The supporters of Patricio Rey Futbol Club booed when Tigres Ñacuñán FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Mergildo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tigres Ñacuñán FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Patricio Rey Futbol Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
