The coaching staff of Maní FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Javier Lehior had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Maní FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Marno F.C.:s goal. Marno F.C.'s Elpidio Pabla got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ovidio Weterio struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Ovidio Erroman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maní FC. After 22 minutes of play, Marno F.C.'s Elpidio Pabla made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Higinio Lizbeth was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th minute Enzo Gorka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Erroman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Higinio Lizbeth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Urko in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Maní FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Pabla came free, but Higinio Lizbeth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
