Angelino Barto came out of the goal and Anibal Fidencio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd match minute, Salmuera CP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Gorbea to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute of the match Benito Corderun sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carmelo Nikola skillfully saved the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Salmuera CP's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Pinto came free, but Carmelo Nikola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgilio Jakue hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ezequiel Pinto to make the kick off. 50 minutes into the game, Emiliano Toribio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salmuera CP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cementerio Club the free kick. In the 51st minute, Emiliano Toribio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
