In the 13th match minute, AC Batán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Poncio to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, AC Batán's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Bitxintxo came free, but Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16 minutes, Alfredo Poncio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Batán and the San Martin de Tucuman players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes AC Batán got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Poncio. Alfonso Weather took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft. Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Bitxintxo in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, AC Batán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Hurko to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, AC Batán's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Bitxintxo came free, but Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucuman's Esteban Bitxintxo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 45th minute, San Martin de Tucuman's Rogelio Clodio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rogelio Clodio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of San Martin de Tucuman protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rogelio Clodio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, San Martin de Tucuman's Rogelio Clodio got a free kick in the 46th minute. Benedicto Claude recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Bitxintxo in the 53rd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the game, Esteban Bitxintxo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alejandro-Ramón Calderón De La Barca charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alejandro-Ramón Calderón De La Barca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 59th minute, Alejandro-Ramón Calderón De La Barca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Bitxintxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AC Batán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benedicto Claude was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. San Martin de Tucuman's Siro Barrionuevo was substituted for Raimundo Meder. Esteban Bitxintxo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Esteban Bitxintxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Ramone in the 84th minute of play forced AC Batán's goalkeeper Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AC Batán's Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Bitxintxo in the 91st minute of play.
